About Sant S. Dharamananda Ph.D
Sant S. Dharamananda is a disciple of Sri Swami Rama of the Himalayas. He holds a Ph.D degree in Eastern Philosophy from Williamsburg University Manchester in England and received his diploma in March 2009.
He graduated with a MBA degree in Sustainable Community Development in June 2000 and completed a BS degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin Stout in May 1986.
Sant was born on a full moon night on September 15th 1959 among a family of Priests. He was number five among nine sons and the family lived in a small village from the beautiful Islands of Trinidad & Tobago. His interest in music and spirituality grew as he met different classical musicians and religious priests.
Sant immigrated to the United States of America for higher education and then became a naturalized citizen. He got married to Bhanu, a Native Indian of Trinidad & Tobago and have five children. All of whom were blessed by Himalayan Yogis.
Sant has grown to be a visionary with many different dreams. He started many cultural community institutions in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Trinidad & Tobago. Then he helped fundraised in Canada, Trinidad and USA; to build the Sriverm College in India, under the leadership of Swami Hariharananda Bharati.
Swami Harihar was also known as the 'Laughing Baba' of the forest, who lived 12,000 feet on the Himalayas. Swami Harihar blessed Sant when he visited the Himalayan Education Center in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
